Sue Woods, who has maintained a life-long interest in and love of the arts, was a History of Art major at Smith College. However, it was about ten years ago that this interest manifested itself in her undertaking a study of the practical arts. During the past decade, she has taken a number of courses at the Somerset Art Association, primarily concentrating in oils, but she recently branched out into watercolors as well. She has traveled extensively and does much of her work from photographs taken on her journeys.  Her work has been presented in local shows at Saint Johns’ on the Mountain, Somerset Art Association and Studio Seven, where she is a participating artist. Presently she is serving on the board of Somerset Art Association.
