Charles Robinson

Charlie is a native of Morristown, New Jersey.  He attended Harvard and graduated with a Law Degree in 1953.  But his passion was with the arts and after 10 years he changed careers. Over the next 20 years, Charlie illustrated over 100 children’s  books frequently trying his hand at writing as well.

He was the recipient of  the Gold Metal from the Society of Illustrators. As a board member of the Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, he helped with the creation of murals and exhibits.   His work is in many reputable collections including that of the Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick, NJ.

In retirement, Charlie still loves to paint.  He is especially fond of his weekly group class with nude models and spending long hours painting in his home studio, looking out on the bucolic setting which is his very own back yard. His nudes are on display at Studio 7.
